God People

This one is for the God people...

I don’t understand how you justify your war
To me you are pretending or just keeping score
in some game that is madness
a madness you just seem to ignore

As you pretend it’s OK with a wink and a nod
And ignoring the hypocrisy of holding up God
As the reason you’re fighting and killing and dying
Anyone with real courage would admit they are lying
For a good man lives love and does not make misery

The most courageous man makes peace with his enemy

I don't understand how you justify your hate
To me you are just afraid to be awake
as you pretend all the death and destruction is ok
justified by your God as the only way

A God of love knows hate is the enemy
And God knows you are lying when you claim glory
In death and destruction of the symmetry
That you say God created as far as you say see
as if it was made just you...
the world is not just for you or me

A Noble Arrogance

I suppose it was quite arrogant of me to think I could save the world. To think that I could find the worlds to convince enough people to overcome their fears and love each other. I mean, just because their gods basically command them to love each other and treat each other with kindness and you ought to know if you believe in the good books you pray and kill and die for. Feel challenged, not threatened. Inspired by songs like this one or this one, I let the words pour out in rhythm and rhyme with one mission, to express the logic and reason of loving each other, sharing the world peacefully, as the only way we can all survive on this planet. A foolish dream, perhaps. Yet whether arrogant or foolish or just plain mad, I still dream it.

I Wish

I wish I could explain to people what I understand about the way they hurt each other with their own two hands and how they hurt themselves just wants me to stay far away but still I want to share with someone... almost every day I wish people were not so similar to cancer if you see the big picture we don't seem to have a soul our relationship with the host that keeps us all alive is like a virus that has gone out of control We want infinite growth within a finite system refusing to see the obvious lack of logic in our plan from the environment t the economy we ignore our own entropy the fatal flaw in humanity is the progress of man What we call progress is mostly self-destruction and we create so many distractions to avoid the truth Entertainment, drugs, and gambling all in mass production chasing dreams as viable as the fountain of youth I wish someone would see what I see, know what I know, feel the alarm I wish someone would take their head up out of the sand I wish someone would share honesty without pretense or self-harm I wish I could explain to people what I understand

Armond Getin

People who believe that the best thing that could happen to us is rapture have little reason to do anything to support life on Earth.

~ Getin, Armond

When you start with delusion...

When the fundamental premise of any concept or argument is considered singular and without opposition, any logic borne of such a premise is invalid if presented as any sort of truth... or even logic. Like saying someone is the greatest player because they have amazing statistics without noticing they play on a team that has no one else to turn to... big fish, little pond does not make the big fish the best ever. Anyway, when there is a mass delusion, when even the people who do not believe in the singularity of the initial unopposed premise (like we must have a reason or purpose to enjoy a wonderful life and not have said reason or purpose is some sort of horrible panic-attack calamity) such as Pascal's, too many heads nod in silent agreement without even realizing what they did. An argument based on delusion leads to logical stupidity.

But then, ignorance is only bliss if you accept the ignorance is momentary as we experience life as momentary and it is not a shameful horrible torturous calamity.

godless

I wonder if you can even begin to consider that one aspect of the godless person's perspective is that anyone who needs an authority outside of their own mind to tell them what is right or wrong may not consistently act of their own accord. The godless person simply believes anyone who needs an authority outside of their own mind to tell them what is right or wrong chooses to shirk personal responsibility for his/her own decisions and that is their choice. There is not judgment or condemnation in this belief, only observable behavior. Some people appear to equate "godless" with "evil" or at least bad, as if "godless man" should not be trusted. A person is not evil or bad for choosing to believe that whether there is or is not a god, he or she simply does not need it. There is certainly nothing evil or bad in choosing to be free from a book of rules that are often more confusing and have caused more death and suffereing than any book in history. For those who wish to judge, if judgments of good and evil is based on real things, not merely on words but on what people do, we can easily see that there are many more people who have done evil or bad things to others in the name of god than there are people who do evil or bad things to others in the name of no god. That does not make god or a belief in god evil or bad. It can suggest that a belief in god leads many to do evil or bad deeds. But do those choosing to not believe in a god condemn those who do? Do those who do not believe in god demand those who do believe in god change their opinion or belief? Look at what people do when you want to judge. Look at where hostility or cruelty comes from. Look at yourself and how you feel when you think of a godless person. How do you really feel? Is it your feeling or did god give the feeling to you? Do you really know?

pretentious obscurantism

it may be that he lacks an audience because (he's lackadasical?) he enjoys irreverence (and word play leading to repetitive redundancy and parenthetic distraction) so much he may appear to present as some form of pretentious obscurantism... or perhaps he is merely misunderstood... but he does wander into wonder a lot and can easily be distracted by almost anything, even squirrels... and there are those profoundly meaningless questions that come to mind like why are brits afraid to smile... of course meaninglessness, like pretentious obscurantism (and the squirrel), is in the mind of the beholder... what one chooses to believe is what becomes real to one, after all... and in the end (on abbey road or anywhere), everything is always a matter of perspective and opinion... except what we know for sure, that is... but don't mind him, when last seen he was looking for empirical evidence of his own existence...

god's not here

Greetings again, as you may have read somewhere, there is no god here at the moment. Feel free to leave a message at the sound of the beep... or type in the comment box... or simply get on with enjoying your life, your choice. Thank you and make today spectacular!
